In the 1970s, sours were all the rage. I came across so many cocktail sours – some seemed a lot less appetizing than others. The Gin sour is easy to make and uses some pretty basic bar ingredients.
By adding a Maraschino cherry and serving them in a cocktail glass I feel like these perfectly capture the Mad Men era. As the show draws to a close I’ll be drowning my sorrows in gin sours – well, I’m sort of a lightweight so let me re-phrase, I’ll be droning my sorrows in a gin sour!
- In a cocktail shaker combine gin, Grand-Marnier and lime juice, I used fresh and sweetened lime juice, feel free to use either or both.
- Pour into a cocktail glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry and a slice of lime.
